AF-AX is developing a bionic surface technology that improves aerodynamic operating range and resistance to turbulence in aerodynamic applications. This technology works in a manner similar to a bird’s feathers, which enable its wings to achieve greater efficiency by changing their shape dynamically to cope with various flow conditions. AF-AX’s vision is to pioneer the next performance leap in aerodynamic applications through its aeroflexible technology. After starting with an add-on surface kit for small wind-turbine blades, the AF-AX plans to expand to other use cases in transport, aerospace, sailing, and industrial applications.
